SÍNTESE ENZIMÁTICA DE BUTIRATO DE GERANILA POR ESTERIFICAÇÃO CATALISADA POR LIPASE IMOBILIZADA EM RESINA HIDROFÓBICA

Resumo

Neste estudo, um biocatalisador foi preparado por imobilização de lipase de Thermomyces lanuginosus (LTL) em partículas hidrofóbicas de poli-estireno-divinilbenzeno e empregado na síntese de butirato de geranila por esterificação direta de geraniol e ácido butírico em meio de hexano. O biocatalisador foi preparado com carregamento inicial de proteína de 40  mg g-1 de suporte e alta concentração de proteína imobilizada, da ordem de 39  mg g-1 de suporte, foi observada. O efeito de relevantes na síntese do éster foi determinado. As condições reacionais que maximizaram a síntese do éster foram concentração de biocatalisador de 10% m v-1, temperatura de 40°C e concentração de 1 mol L-1 de cada reagente que apresentou máxima conversão da ordem de 85% após 3 h de reação. Nestas condições ótimas, foi realizada a estabilidade operacional do biocatalisador após cinco sucessivos ciclos de reação e ele manteve 65% de sua atividade inicial. Estes resultados mostram que o suporte testado é bastante promissor na preparação de biocatalisadores ativos na síntese de ésteres de aroma por reação de esterificação.

Adriano Aguiar Mendes, Universidade Federal de Alfenas

Possui graduação em Engenharia Química pela Faculdade de Engenharia Química de Lorena (Escola de Engenharia de Lorena - Universidade de São Paulo (2002)), mestrado em Engenharia Química pela Escola de Engenharia de Lorena - Universidade de São Paulo (2004) e doutorado em Engenharia Química pela Universidade Federal de São Carlos (2009). Durante o doutorado, fez estágio sanduíche no Departamento de Biocatálise no Instituto de Catálisis y Petroleoquímica da Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. Em 2009/2010, fez seu pós-doutorado no Departamento de Engenharia Química da Escola de Engenharia de Lorena - Universidade de São Paulo. No período de fevereiro de 2010 a agosto de 2013 foi professor da Universidade Federal de São João del Rei - Campus Sete Lagoas (CSL/UFSJ) no curso de Engenharia de Alimentos. É Professor Associado I do Instituto de Química da Universidade Federal de Alfenas (UNIFAL-MG). É professor permanente dos Programas de Pós-Graduação em Química (PPGQ) e Biotecnologia (PPGBiotec) da UNIFAL-MG e Engenharia Química (PPG-EQ) da Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG). Atualmente, é coordenador do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Biotecnologia (PPGBiotec). Tem experiência na área de Engenharia Química, com ênfase em Processos Bioquímicos, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: Imobilização de enzimas de interesse industrial (Adsorção física e Ligação covalente), Preparação e caracterização de suportes orgânicos e inorgânicos, Biotransformação de óleos/gorduras para a síntese de biodiesel, biolubrificantes e ésteres de aromas e Tratamento biológico de efluentes da indústria de alimentos.
