Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the state of motivation, perception of stress and recovery in volleyball players during a training season. Six athletes from the same adult male volleyball team responded to RESTQSport and SMS-BR at four different times. In order to verify the difference of the variables in the different moments analyzed, it was used the Friedman (p <0.05). The scales of RESTQ-Sport Social Stress (p = 0,02), lack of energy (p = 0,02), Somatic complaints (p = 0,02) and Self-efficacy (p = 0,02) showed significant changes. The External Extrinsic Motivation scale of SMS-BR also showed differences (p = 0,02). It is concluded that, with training, the perception of stress, recovery and motivation in volleyball athletes vary throughout a season.
