Abstract

This teaching case addresses the challenges of public policies for indigenous peoples in Brazil, with a particular focus on health issues. The case emerged from an immersion course offered to Public Administration students. The objective is to contribute to the development of an “anthropological awareness” among future professionals in the area. This teaching case illustrates how the intercultural competence is directly related to the analytical capacities required to work with public policies aimed at these populations.
