The Role of the Euro at Ten Years of the Creation and the Crisis-Return Economic Policy Fiscal Control Eurozone: An Analysis through Data Envelopment (DEA)

Ten years after the creation of the euro have been several doubts about the efficiency of the administration of public resources and welfare of the population derived from this. Therefore the aim of this study is to determine the efficiency levels of fiscal policy of the seventeen countries in the Euro Zone to ten years after its creation, through the analysis of Data Envelopment (DEA). The results show that fiscal policy has handled most of the countries of the Eurozone has not been efficient. Can be observe different areas where it is important to implement improvements looking for social welfare that will address the challenges of a monetary union such as the euro area and the problems to be faced with the arrival of the current economic crisis.
