Abstract

The analysis of the child inserted in the current Brazilian society shows that in a more general perspective, what we see is the impossibility of a playful experience of in childhood. In modern society, particularly in big cities, albeit for very different reasons, children do not have time and space for childhood experience, and this is independent of gender or social classes. Experts in physical education believe that children today have been poorly developing motor skills. For them, the technology, the increase in violence and the limited understanding of the parents about the subject are the main causes. In adults, it is possible to notice that some have some sort of motor impairment in some activity or take longer to suit them. In this sense, the role of physical education in childhood is extremely important in children’s educational process as it promotes, through ludic activities, the means for a child to explore her body, as well as developing a range of motor skills that will last for all her life. This study aimed to verify the contributions of recreational activities through physical education for motor development of children from 5-6 years old and their effects in adulthood. This study has a qualitative approach and the method used was observational. The present study included some adult guests and parents of some students of the State School Professor Benício Leão, situated in the south of Manaus. 16 sessions of motor activities with recreational aspects were performed with children. These activities took place on weekends, with 40 minutes long, so we could check if they would have the same difficulties of a child. The sessions were filmed for later analysis. In data analysis we used the content analysis, it was possible to identify the motor aspects. The motor aspect, we noted the interaction of different motor functions (perceptual-motor, neuromotor, psychomotor), adaptive, evolutionary and recreational process.
