EFICÁCIA DO EXERCÍCIO EXCÊNTRICO NA TENDINOPATIA DE AQUILES

Resumen

A tendinopatia de Aquiles é de fácil ocorrência em razão de sua causa ser multifatorial. Entre as diversas formas que podem ser utilizadas no tratamento conservador dessa lesão, está começando a haver concordância entre os autores sobre os benefícios que o treinamento excêntrico pode proporcionar aos pacientes. Assim, notase a importância de estudos sobre esse assunto. O objetivo desta revisão foi analisar os estudos que pesquisaram sobre a eficácia do exercício excêntrico na tendinopatia de Aquiles. Foram analisados 20 estudos, sendo 15 ensaios clínicos randomizados e cinco estudos experimentais não controlados. Desses 20 estudos, nove utilizaram o exercício excêntrico e algum outro tipo de intervenção com base na cinesioterapia; já os outros 11 estudos utilizaram o exercício excêntrico como intervenção, associado ou comparado com alguma terapia associada. Conclui-se, então, que o exercício excêntrico é uma forma eficaz de tratamento conservador para tendinopatias que afetam o tendão de Aquiles, porém poucas evidências sugerem que ele seja superior a outras formas de exercícios terapêuticos ou terapias associadas.
