Starting from the assumption that ontic structures of reality, space and time, have implications over epistemological, theoretical, methodological and practical domains, in this paper I make a discussion about the concepts of social space and management situation, trying to outline their consequences over the framework of strategic and social management. A theoretical review on the space theme in social theory, as well in these of strategic and social management was made seeking to highlight the emergence of space emerges as relevant dimension in management situations, Then I analyze the forms of relationship, and modulation of space utilization by different social, organizational and institutional actors in a given context. Specifically, we present a "catalogue" of spatial categories in social theory and how they link – or can be linked – with the strategic and/or social management. We hope that the identification of the forms of strategic use of space allows enhance productive relations, while the social ones can contribute to collective and democratic insertion of actors in the sphere of public action.
