A STUDY OF "PROJECT BALDE CHEIO" AS VECTOR OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT OF THE SMALL MILKING PRODUCER

The concept of economic development has changed in recent decades toward a consensual view that environmental conservation and better standards of living can be pursued simultaneously. This new concept of development is also inducing technological change in agribusiness milk to create policies and programmes aimed at providing sustainable development of its dimensions economic, social and environmental development of this sector in Brazil. A dairy industry’s complaints is that farmers do not apply the techniques and advances studied and achieved in institutes of higher education and research, which hinders the development of the dairy. Thus, the goal of this article analyzes the “Project Balde Cheio”, coordinated by Embrapa Pecuária Sudeste can act as a vector to promote sustainable development of agribusiness, aligning local production sustainable production trends in the industry internationally. The study in question is based on secondary data obtained from documents; and primary data obtained via qualitative research, using case study method. However, as a vector of environmental sustainability of the development of the dairy, the project shows a much omitted, depending on for this dimension and to strengthen the remaining dimensions, improvements and other complementary policies to be able to promote the sustainable development of agribusiness of the milk.Downloads
