Abstract

This article aims to analyze executive secretarial professionals’ required attributes, and how they must adapt to a work environment that is permanently changing. Besides his/her ordinary duties, a secretary while working can face conflict situations, manage reports, communicate with clients and executives, and also be the head of an employee group, which requires attributes such as resiliency, proactivity and formulation planning in order to perform properly his/her activities. The executive secretary has been increasingly earning space and high positions in the work environment; hence, accepting much more responsibilities that demand behavior changes that encompass these attributes. This study seeks to show how resiliency, proactivity and organization attributes are needed to executive secretarial professionals who work in a changeable workplace environment. We carried out a bibliographic and documental analysis through a literature review in order to show the importance of this subject in a society where companies’ systems are constantly renewing.

Tânia Mara Daver Santos, Faculdade Sant´Ana

Possui graduação em Bacharelado em Secretariado Executivo pela Instituição de Ensino Superior Faculdade Sant’Ana (2008) e Especialização em Educação Profissional para Jovens e Adultos na Universidade Tecnológica Federal do Paraná (2011). Atuou como Secretária na Secretaria de Estado do Paraná de 1984 a 2002.
