The present essay approaches the adoption of artificial intelligence in Chinese jurisdiction and the viability of replicating such movement in Brazil, with focus on the confrontation between gains in efficiency and potential violations to procedural due process, always taking into account the cultural and political differences from one reality to the other. Through deductive and comparative methods and bibliographical and documental techniques, the conclusion points to the necessity of following the trail of Judiciary’s “intelligentization”, but with the caution of reserving technology to justice’s auxiliary functions and of safeguarding adjudicator’s independence and subjectivity, not forgetting, also, to guarantee respect to the values structure and legal and political constitution prevalent in each country.
