ACADEMIC EDUCATION IN EXECUTIVE SECRETARIAT IN-PERSON BACHELOR DEGREE IN THE STATE OF PARANÁ AND ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEACHING

This study investigated the academic education and English Language Teaching in six ES (Executive Secretariat) Bachelor’s degree, in-person modality, in the state of Paraná. By means of a qualitative approach, it was used the exploratory and descriptive methods. The investigation was complemented by bibliographic and documental surveys, showing the importance of language teaching in the academic and business context. The analysis of the curricula and respective syllabuses showed variations in the hours of study and nomenclatures in the academic courses – aspects considered to be within the parameters of flexibility in the organization of undergraduate courses. It was emphasized terms representing the teaching of English for specific purposes and levels of language knowledge.
