Extension activity as a tool to raise awareness about the uses of the Internet for children, adolescents and adults

This experience report presents and discusses the development and results of an outreach activity organized by students of the Pedagogy course at a private higher education institution located in the city of Campo Largo, Paraná, aiming to raise awareness among children, adolescents, and adults about the uses of the internet. The activity, held between April 5 and 30, 2024, involved two fronts: one aimed at children and adolescents and the other at adults. The outreach activity explored topics such as online safety, ethical behavior on the internet, and the excessive use of technology. The results showed that participants, both young people and adults, responded positively, indicating the importance of education for internet safety. The experience demonstrated the effectiveness of interactive and contextually adapted approaches and provided learning for students, strengthening their planning, execution, and critical reflection skills.
