FRESH VEGETABLE LOST SKETCHING ON TRADE IN THE MUNICIPAL DISTRICT OF AREIA (PB)

Abstract

A survey of the losses in the retail market of oil seeds was become fulfilled in natura in the municipal district of Areia (PB) in order to supply information that can assist in specific actions to the sector to diminish the losses of fresh vegetable in the local retail. A consisting questionnaire of 40 questions was used, which enclosed aspects: partner-economic; of production; of draining; of commercialization and storage. The interviewed ones had been subdivided in three groups: the GI was constituted by stallholder that produced vegetables in its country properties they directly commercialized and them in the fair-free one in Areia (PB); the GII was constituted by stallholders that did not produce the vegetables in its country properties, acquiring them through weekly purchases in the EMPASA-CG (Company Paraiban de Agricultural Service and Supply), of other small agricultural producers; and group III was constituted by trading proprietors of retail nets. One evidenced that the phitopatologycal injuries and the mechanical damages had been the causal agents of bigger expression in the occasion of losses of the studied vegetables: chili, tomatoes, carrot and potato. Simple measures and of practically null costs, such as: single grain hygienic cleaning of transports, boxes and group of benches of commercialization; uniformity in the organization of vegetables in the boxes; election of the best schedules for the draining; and offers of products in accordance with the demand must be adopted by the majority of the involved ones in the research, in view of the reduction of the expressive estimated results and improving the appearance of organization and marketing places analyzed.
