Abstract

The increased productive and economic efficiency are an important factor for the competitiveness of the system of milk production. In this context, the objective was to analyze the zootechnic and economic indicators of a system of milk production on pasture with supplementation. The productive and economic data of a farm in Goiás were monthly collected from January to December 2011, analyzed in electronic spreadsheets. The zootechnic and economic indicators were analyzed in farm. The annual milk production was 21,160.50 L/year, the lactating cows per total cows ratio was 80%. The sale of milk accounted for 73.55% of the gross income of the activity. The operational cost of milk, milk total operating cost and total cost of milk per liter were R$ 0.31; R$ 0.55 e R$ 0.65, respectively. In relation to gross margin, net margin and profit per liter of milk were R$ 0.38, R$ 0.14 e R$ 0.04, respectively. Gross margin per area was R$ 440.54 ha/year. The rates of return on capital with land and landless were 1.45% and 4.09% a year. The property has analyzed a production system that made a profit, but it can improve zootechnic indicators, always seeking balance economic/zootechnic, since the farm has potential for milk production, lower costs than the average properties of the State.
