The noise of agricultural machinery, over the course of time, can cause hearing problems in operators. According to the regulatory standards of the Brazilian Ministry of Labor and Employment (NR 15), the maximum allowable diary exposure, during the work day of 8 hours, is 85 decibels. In this context, the present study was conducted to evaluate the noise emitted by seven different tractor models. Sampling was performed near the operator’s ear and at distances of 1 to 10 meters, measured at every individual meter, on the right and left sides and front and back parts of each tractor. At each point, three samples were obtained for each condition. Noise levels above the maximum allowed for the 8 hour work day were observed in all tractors studied.Downloads
