Abstract

The large grain yields achieved on the national scene today, not being accompanied by some sectors of the productive chain, and the sectors of post-harvest leaves much to be desired in this respect, they tend to be minimized in a matter of static capacity, as well as in the processes occurring in it, which tend to mitigate the quantitative and qualitative been reducing the competitive product on the market. This study aimed to make a case study of the bottlenecks that are suitable to suppress the development of this sector in a processing unit / storage in northern Parana state. It was evident from the case study, the vast majority of cases occurring within the postharvest units end up being neglected and tend to increase the risk of loss, both quantitative and qualitative.
