This is an experience report with the purpose of describing the experience of students at the Federal University of Sergipe (UFS) during the action of the extension project called Socorristas Mirins: teaching children how to save life, which aims to train children to carry out initial basic life support practices , using music as an auxiliary tool in learning first aid. The songs with themes related to first aid were created by the students, bringing children closer and easier to learn. Visits were made to public and private schools with the project team, made up of teachers and students from the UFS, Lagarto campus in Sergipe. During these visits, the students promoted first aid training in line with the children's universe and listing content in a playful, dynamic, creative, effective and age-appropriate way. At the end of the visits, the children became equipped with the suggested skills, with music playing an essential role in the results achieved.
