The purpose of this reflection is to discuss the contours presented in the labor market for transsexual people in Brazil from the analysis of two social initiatives: the 'transemployment' platform and the articulation of two social movements in Pernambuco. The article develops with initial reflections on theoretical considerations regarding gender and transsexuality, centers its discussion on understanding and theoretically exploring how the labor market is expressed for transsexual people in Brazil and proposals to expose data on this access and discuss them theoretically. To achieve the objective, methodological techniques of analysis of quantitative data and bibliographic review were used. It was observed that the analyzed initiatives contribute to expanding the access of this population to the labor market, also pointing to a growth trend, even if minimal opportunities. But at the same step, there is a reinforcement to the logic of always being inserted in less valued and more precarious occupations.
