This research aimed to apply Augmented Reality (AR) technology in models of architecture design and building installations used in architecture and urbanism and civil engineering courses. For this purpose, the Design Science Research procedure was used to create digital models from SketchUp software, in addition to its integration into Unity3D and Vuforia software to generate AR models. Additionally, an open educational resource was created explaining the procedures for creating an AR using the mentioned software. The results showed that AR can contribute to teaching in the aforementioned areas. In contrast to traditional means of representation and visualization, AR is a low-cost technology that provides better simulation and visualization of projects and their constructive elements, as well as showing their relevance for various uses such as project presentations, virtual models and understanding of building elements and systems in more depth.
