The last review of NBR 6118 (ABNT, 2014) changed the minimum compressive strength of the concrete from 15 MPa to 20 MPa. Therefore, in practice it’s common to adopt lower fck values than the minimum standard values (e.g.: 18MPa). In this context samples were made and submitted to five different cure processes: water tank (standard), air, and soils with different permeability’s. The values of fck found for the samples in air cure were the lowest meanwhile the samples cured at water tank were the biggest. The others samples had values of fck varying with the permeability of the soil, being higher for the soils with the lowest rate of permeability.
