The development and use of glass in recent times, particularly in the construction sector, is a growing phenomenon in both developed and underdeveloped economies. However, this material is not always used in the correct way for which it is intended, and consultation and compliance with safety standards are often underestimated. Therefore, the main objective of this article is to demonstrate the mapping and analysis of the use of glass in homes in the municipality of Goianésia of Pará. Data collection was carried out through interviews with the owners of all three local glass shops and the application of questionnaires to 65 homeowners in the municipality. According to the analysis of the results, it was possible to identify that 86.2% of the interviewees do not have an architectural project for their homes, in addition, all three glassworks analyzed said they did not have knowledge about the technical standards.
