Abstract

The main purpose of this work was to evaluate the dynamic behavior of continuous beams at the beginning of cracking, made of composite materials, modeled using the Finite Element Method and Lagrange Equations. Therefore, for comparative purposes, the natural frequencies, modes of vibration and responses in time of structures made of traditional and composite materials were determined for two different boundary conditions of the beam, in this case, self-supported and free-standing.
