Abstract

This text, a component of the 40th anniversary issue of OIKOS Magazine – Family and Society in Debate, aims to address the trajectory of articles on food, nutrition and food since the first issue, published in 1981. All volumes are available on the Magazine's website, including the older ones, as they have been digitized to PDF. In total, 103 articles on the subject were found. 2001 was the year in which most topics on food were published in the Magazine. There were 9 articles on the subject: 7 in a special supplement and another 2 in the second issue of that year. Next, the years 1981, 1983, 1990 and 2013 appear with 5 articles per year on the subject. The gradual reduction of publications in the food area from 1992 onwards is noticeable (disregarding 2001, whose publications were abstracts of dissertations defended in the PPGED, as already pointed out.

Author Biography

Romilda de Souza Lima, Universidade Estadual do Oeste do Paraná, Brasil

She holds a PhD in Rural Extension - Concentration Area: Culture, Social Processes and Knowledge - Federal University of Viçosa. Master and Bachelor from the same institution. Adjunct professor at the State University of Western Paraná and permanent professor at the Postgraduate Program in Sustainable Rural Development, at the same institution. Associate Researcher at NAUS Network - Ibero American Network for Qualitative Research in Food and Society. Member of the Brazilian Research Network on Sovereignty and Food and Nutritional Security - RBPSSAN. Member of the Latin American Network for Sovereignty and Food and Nutritional Security. Researcher at GEPSA (Study and Research Group on Food Security) and DERU (Research Group on Rural Development). Member of the Rural Studies Network. He supervises the Undergraduate Program in Nutrition, and the Master and Doctorate of the Postgraduate Program in Sustainable Rural Development. He works in the area of ​​food security with an emphasis on anthropology, sociology and history of food and on food and culture. In the area of ​​rural development, with an emphasis on culture and food practices in the rural context and in the analysis of rural development programs and projects.
