Abstract

The article proposes an analysis of the evolution from electronic to digital government in Brazil, from 2000 to 2023, exploring the impact of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) in the country inserted in the Information Society. The qualitative and exploratory research uses Content Analysis on official Federal Government documents, thus revealing the trajectory of the Brazilian digital government. It is a dynamic path, alternating between attention to infrastructure, administrative efficiency and focus on citizens, highlighting the Brazilian government's continuous adaptation to social and technological changes. The study contributes to the systematization of knowledge, offering a comprehensive view of the evolution of electronic government up to the moment of the country's digital transformation.
