Abstract

Pd/Al2O3 and Pd/CeO2/Al2O3 catalysts were prepared and tested in glycerol steam reforming. The catalytic tests were carried out in a fixed bed reactor for continuous flow using glycerol solution 10 vol.% in water diluted in helium. The composition of the mixture and the reaction selectivity in H2 was evaluated in these catalysts according to temperature and reaction time on stream, and the Pd/CeO2/Al2O3 catalyst showed the highest H2 selectivity and stability throughout the operating range study presented this work.
