Filtration is the separation between liquid and solid phase, whereby a pulp, when forced through a porous medium, is subdivided into filtrate and filter cake. Thus, the objective was to build a filter prey module for use in practical classes and laboratory scale research. For sizing, experiments were performed in vacuum filtration, in order to prove the efficiency of the module built with three types of filter media (cotton, denim and jeans). Through the experiments, it was possible to determine the calibration curve (Concentration x Turbidity) by turbidimetry of known concentration values, obtaining the equation of the curve by linear regression. Using the curve equation, filtrate concentration values ??were determined from the filtration processes. In turn, the filtration efficiency was calculated by relating the suspension concentration to the filtrate concentration, indicating an average improvement of 18.3%, determining jeans as the most efficient filter medium
