Abstract

Solar intensity, ambient temperature or load variations are parameters which change the optimal operation point of photovoltaic generators. Thus, one must analyze its behavior in order to optimize its functioning. This study aimed at modeling and simulating a photovoltaic generator following the characteristics informed by the manufacturer. With the use of computer programs of curve digitalization and simulation (Simulink do Matlab®), the behavior of the generator was analyzed relative to temperature and solar intensity variations, and compared with the information supplied by the manufacturer. The results were satisfactory and the proposed model was valid for simulation of photovoltaic generators.
