Abstract

This work is characterized as a bibliographical study, where we indicate the feasibility of being worked on in Physical Education classes the theme of Environmental Education in public schools. Members of the Pedagogical Residency Program at Unipampa participated in this study, in the Physical Education nucleus belonging to the Municipal School Moacyr Ramos Martins in the city of Uruguaiana-RS. Initially, we sought to carry out a planning and study of the contents to be explored in the future in practical interventions at school. Its development took place through research in magazines, articles and legal documents. Documents such as the Federal Constitution and Law 9795/1999 and educational documents such as the Common National Curriculum Base and the National Curriculum Parameters were explored. After reading these documents, a search was carried out in Physical Education textbooks, intended for Basic Education, in order to find activities that were related to the themes. Based on these searches, the study provides some suggestions for activities that can be developed within the school environment, such as the "Parkour", the guided walk and the Orienteering race, low-cost activities to be carried out and that can be adapted and carried out in multiple spaces. It is concluded that there is a great possibility of working the theme of Environmental Education through the Physical Education curricular component, thus collaborating for a greater environmental awareness of teachers and students. It is also worth noting the great gain that exists in public schools with the updating of curricular proposals made through the inclusion of residents in school practice, thereby contributing to the better qualification of the teaching and learning processes.
