In recent years in Brazil, schools and research institutions have focused their efforts on incorporating new technologies in order to improve the effectiveness of the interaction between teaching and learning. The main aim of this activity was to use cinema as an instrument for reflection on current political, cultural, philosophical and educational issues in the training of ICSEZ/UFAM students. It was implemented through preparation and execution workshops. Several study and reflection meetings were held with the implementation team as a first phase, and as a second phase, four screenings, debate and reflection sessions on the themes that emerged from the selected film productions. A significant result of the activity can be said to have been the construction of a critical gaze by the participants on the concrete world and the film experience. Overall, it is believed that the project achieved its objectives, despite the difficulties involved, as it provided a concrete experience of building a new attitude towards filmmaking.
