Abstract

This work seeks, from the reading of some writings by André Vidal de Araújo, to unravel his possible philosophical influences. The methodology used for its realization was a bibliographic review of the author's texts that dealt with his social thought, seeking to identify in these thinkers who directly or indirectly influenced his proposals for the social issue in the Brazilian Amazon. Thus, we can conclude that the analyzed texts leave no doubt as to the author's knowledge of different areas of the human sciences, at the same time, it is undeniable that the author has significantly focused on the construction of his philosophical proposals, whether to refute them or to support their arguments.
