Abstract

With the COVID-19 pandemic and the introduction of remote work, social networks have grown considerably. The creation of the profile and page “quimicap.uerj” seeked to bring researchers closer to society, bringing academic knowledge, in a more accessible language, through social networks. When the community has access to science in a simple, practical, and contextualized way with its daily life, the chances of producing scientific literacy grow exponentially, thus forming a more critical and experienced citizen. In addition to having a great opportunity to complement teacher training through access to Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs).
