Trajectory of migrant women from/in the Amazon: process of displacement, insertion and gender relations (city of Boa Vista - 1990 to 2000)

This article analyzed the migratory experiences of three women from different locations in the Amazon who moved alone to the city of Boa Vista (RR) between 1990 and 2000. In this article, we sought to understand how the processes of displacement from the city of origin to the city occurred. Boa Vista, particularly gender relations in order to ensure visibility as protagonists of their trajectories. For this, the oral history methodology was used through semi-structured interviews, covering everything from the daily life in the city of origin or place of reference, through the displacement process, to the insertion/arrival in Boa Vista and the gender relations of three women Brazilians, northerners and migrants, with the place of origin/reference being Manaus (AM), Belém (PA) and Laranjal do Jari (AP).
